Safety Protocols for Soccer Shots Columbia classes:

• Coaches are required to take their own temperatures daily.
• Curriculum modifications to encourage greater distancing in classes
• Updated coaching best practices, including wearing face shields and sanitizing gear (balls, cones, goals, etc)
• Mini (Ages 2-3) limit of 8 children, Classic (Ages 3-5) and Premier (Ages 5-7) limit of 10 children (up to 12 when safety guidelines allow)
• Coaches have completed a Soccer Shots e-Learning Course on “Program Modifications and Safety Measures”

Parents guidelines for Soccer Shots Columbia classes:

• Wash and sanitize hands before arriving at Soccer Island (Public Programs Only)
• Adhere to state and/or local jurisdiction regarding face-covering requirements
• Practice social distancing by trying to stay 6 feet away from others that do not live in your household
• Stay home when you are sick and keep your children home from Soccer Island if they are sick
• If attending a Mini class (Ages 2-3), we ask that only one family member per child be present on Soccer Island (face covering required)

Dear Families:  Below are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

1. Where Does My Child Go For Soccer Shots? All children (4k-2nd) who are enrolled for Soccer Shots will meet their Soccer Shots coaches in the gym during release.  Once the coaches take attendance of all the children they will walk the children out to the soccer field. (PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABSENT FROM SOCCER FOR ANY REASON)

2.  What time do I pick my child up?

If your child does not attend Aftercare you will need to pick your child up from the field.  You may be asked to sign your child out of our care. If your child does attend aftercare, we will walk them back inside to aftercare.

3.  What does my child need to wear?

We love for your child to wear their Soccer Shots Jerseys once they receive them (usually by the 2nd week) but it is not mandatory. Please make sure your child is wearing close-toed shoes such as sneakers on the day of soccer.  We also ask that they wear weather-appropriate attire.  If it is going to be hot, please send a water bottle with the child's name on it. Soccer Shots will provide the rest.

4. Bad Weather Policy.

Soccer Shots will make up to two missed sessions due to weather each semester.  If we are unable to secure another day during the week to run the makeups we will make up those missed days by extending instructional time over the next several sessions. You will receive an email with makeup details if this happens.  In case of inclement weather please pay close attention to your cell phones as we will send out a text alert as well as an email letting you know if a class is canceled due to weather.  We do our very best to let you know in plenty of time to make any pickup arrangements for your child.
